[Vanilla implementation]: War effort & Quests in Silithus

For the vanilla servers out there a lot are usually plagued by the extreme failure of releasing the quests in silithus for amongst other Earthstrike and Wrath of Cenarius (https://vanilla-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?quest=8573), Rockfury Bracers (https://vanilla-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?quest=8574), and Nature Resistance gear recipes such as Bramblewood (https://vanilla-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?search=bramblewood) alongside the actual War Effort.

In other words: Whilst the War Effort is active players are able to do and turn in quests to obtain these items as the entire zone of Silithus suddenly has all the post war effort NPC in their spot offering recipes and likewise for nature resistance gear. The question here that may arise is: "Shouldn't it be this way?", whereas my reply is that it certainly should not.

The war effort was a seperate event which made the outposts you often see in Silithus in combination with the different Battlegear quests a possibility. These outposts and npc questgivers were patched in long after the War Effort was completed which can be seen specifically on the interaction reaction of Sergeant Carnes (https://vanilla-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?npc=15903) found below:

"Great job collecting resources for the war," they said, "Have a promotion" they said.
What they really meant is "You're stationed outside a bughive in Silithus with a bunch of sweaty dwarves, Carnes!"
Thanks for the promotion, Captain!"

Wowhead as example lists these quests as being added in Patch 1.11.1 (http://www.wowhead.com/quest=8574/stalwarts-battlegear), (http://www.wowhead.com/item=21180), (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=15293). (AQ was 1.9.X). Meaning that the for example famous Bramblewood set wasn't available for players to use on for example Huhuran and Viscidus until Naxxramas was released.

So where am I going with this? I simply suggest that when the time comes you make sure that the implementation of the War effort and the quests in Silithus are handled in the correct Vanilla manner. This will make initial progression into AQ a bit harder, and when Naxxramas is implemented act as a leverage mechanic. Most of all this will make the initial progression in AQ as it was intended during it's release, which for some will be more compelling and others not at all. The implementation is as vanillalike as it can get though, and hardly anyone could argue against that.

Best of regards

In short, we should remove the silithus War Effort item/recipe rewards before we actually open the War Effort  I agree.

Seems legit

Had you thought for even one minute about what you were trying to claim here and actually bothered to go read the 1.11.1 Patchnotes (Hint: there are exactly two entries, quite possibly some of the if not the shortest patch notes ever) you would have realized that what you are claiming is absolute nonsense.

All these quests and reputation rewards, barring the exception of a few such as the badge for reputation trade in were introduced with Patch 1.8 (even one patch before the war effort, which means you couldn't possibly be more wrong) when Silithus was revamped and Cenarion Hold was introduced.

The three NR recipes were added in 1.11, while Vargus NPC and the aforementioned quests for epic rewards were added in 1.8...

All these quests and items share the same fate => they should not be available until the War Effort event starts.

What's the conclusion on this?

Personally, I'm all for slowing down progression on AQ40, removing Ironvine/Bramblewood until a later patch would do it if that's how it was done on retail.

If the NR recipes were added in 1.11 shouldn't they be added alongside Naxx, not alongside War Effort?

Half of the TB fire resistance gear was added with 1.6 and nobody wants to remove those.
You will be using fire resistance much sooner, so I wonder what's so bad about NR.

PS: I wrote "they should not be available until WE", it's not the official statement yet ;)

With the "actual" content we are at a patch close to BWL-1.6 but still a good point.
About that Wowhead , you can see many items were added in 1.11.1 That is strange and i remember that WoWhead did a "scan" during that time and thats why many items are labeled as 1.11.1 and it is not 100% correct.

Wowhead says 1.11 beacuse it's patch where wowhead got created. There are no records of added things before 1.11.
