Hello,

I just installed WoW Vanilla client this morning from the CD's I still happen to own. Is it possible to play @Kronos like this. So I guess I need to install the 1.12 patch?

Do you guys have any reliable links where to download the patch and update my client as now I cannot connect to the server ( wrong client version probably).

Why install from CD then patch when you could just DL the 1.12.1 client from http://www.twinstar.cz/how-to-connect/?lang=en ? Less hassle.

I'm not sure whats the size of the whole client? My connection nowadays is not really fast so I thought installing from CD and downloading the patch only would be much faster :)

manatouch: thanks for the links.. I'll download em and try it out :)

Already modified the realmlist.wtf .

Anyways I also thought about copying the WoW installation folder to another hard drive so now I would always have a base Vanilla installation ready to use in whatever private realm version I'd like to play. Or easy way to restore vanilla if I for example choose to go play into some of the TBC realms and upgrade the client.

I have installed WoW vanilla from CD as well. Downloaded enGB patch 1.12 and 1.12.1 edited realm list (changed it to twinstar) saved it and everything works as it should.
https://mega.co.nz/#F!XIoATL7a!IgnzMErqmEXdZRZ17c0COQ this is link to these 2 patches. When you download them run patch 1.12 first and when it is finished run 1.12.1 . After you've patched up change realm list to twinstar and you're set!

Actually I think OPs way is better! Installing from CDs and then updating to 1.12.1 is a good way to make sure that IF there's any problems you know that it isn't because of some shitty client download (not implying that Twinstars torrents are shitty ). Now akse, get your ass on the beta and report bugs if you find any .
