Hey guys, so I've been playing on multiples 1.12.1 server while I wait for Kronos to release and on every server I plays it seems that my nameplates are bugged.

Everyone's name plate is "..." as their name and I don't know how to fix this. I have uninstalled the game, deleted all the addons and re-transfered the game from my external hardrive.

Here's a screenshot of the bug: http://imgur.com/o0xFnjz

Do you guys have any clues on how to fix it?

NOTE: This is not on Kronos Server but bug in my client.

Try downloading an Addon like xPerl to change the UI of the characterscreen+nameplates and see if it persists would be my best bet. I have very limited knowledge though, so not sure that'll sort it though. Perhaps it's something in your game's data-folder which is bugged - have you tried downloading different clients?

Weird. And this happens on any server? Problems like this have been (in my experience) caused by server side problems usually. Try deleting cache and WTF folders. If that doesn't help, you might try running WoW repair. But I am not sure if that doesn't revert WoW to earlier version.

If all that fails, there could be some other issues. You may read up on this http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/5493600055 and https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/npcs-or-players-show-as-unknown .

I've had something somewhat similar once, but it was server side problem. Let us know how it goes.

Yes, I wanted to clear the folder WTF and cache folders but I can't find them in my WoW folder.
I'll try your tips and will update with the results.

Thanks guys! :rolleyes2:

So I found out what was causing this, it was as stupid was that I had to change my in-game resolution, by changing it to "Maximized"... I'm happy that you guys tried to help me!

Thanks again!
