They mentioned they swith the host and with that, change to a own irc server, so yea that question was serious...

I just wanted to give thanks to the team keeping things going and working through all the issues. I never got to play vanilla on live but thanks to you guys i am able to enjoy what was wow vanilla.

Dont give up! i am loving this place and ddos attacks or not i will keep playing.
 
I would be genuinely interested if there was like a time window available each day where there would be some sort of assurance the server won't crash for at least an hour. For last three days I come back from work, login, run to my corpse, spawn, fight mobs for 5 minutes, get dc'd midfight, try another day, run to my corpse...
