Trying to decide it it's worth going Blacksmithing, just for this item. Is this a trinket, or an item you don't have to equip to use? Once you have 225 BS, and do the quest for this, do you have to keep your BS to continue using it?

Can only be used as bs "Requires Blacksmithing (225") and you must epquip(trinket) to use it. (10 min cooldown)

You also have to activate the trinket before you get feared. It can't be used if you already lost control of your character.
As a paladin its pretty neat though.

yea I thought that was weird :blink: I never did BS in vanilla, so I have no clue

seems like a great PvP item. I hate warlocks, and having that would be a nice boost against fear spam

Not so much people play warlocks...
Plenty of warrs, mages and rogues though in pvp.

If you considering going BS just for this item i'd not advice it, it's quite expensive to level BS jsut for single utility item. If you are fond of usable things you should consider engineering.
