My gear isn't too far off from the guy you posted.

Take into account the increased optimization with exotic debuffs which weren't utilized back then and it's erroneous to blame wrong scaling or stats on kronos.

Looking at Realmplayers Raidstats i can see multiple rogues and warriors on this server pulling 1k+ dps in t1 content gear.

Pretty sure that isnt possible on correctly tuned bosses. Probably the same issue every private server has, wrong armor values and boss auto attack damage.
Hi, there is no boss on MC that you can compare to Patchwerk (multiple adds so high dps) except maybe magmadar but the fire damage (for more rage) and the ability to taunt him to get the +40% damage ability cheat the logs.

The 2 only bosses working like Patchwerk are in BWL (Ebonroc/Flamegor) and they always have less armor and are killed in 45 sec with max 1350 dps

So yes this warrior was strong because he can do so much in a long fight, but then your claim is erronous.

Edit: For all you people saying shit gear and shit guilds in vanilla. Well the guilds who cleared KT wasnt shit, here is a video of a FULLY DECKED NAXX GEARED warrior from a KT guild with DARKMOON BUFF, DRAGONSLAYER BUFF, ZANDALAR BUFF etc. pulling 1200 dps on patchverk in retail.

Just to be clear, he is using gear that is A LOT stronger than the gear warriors on this server have.. and he is also wearing buffs that im pretty sure not every warrior on most guilds on this server bother to get for MC. And he is pulling 100 dps more than a warrior does single target on K2 in the current level of content.
You should stop looking at gear and start looking at how stupidly hard the top warrior logs are stacked with world buffs. If you bother to ping-pong yourself across the world to grab every single buff and chugg all consumables on top of it it's worth more than the stats on your gear.

Gear yeah, world buffs yeah - but keep in mind that glancing blows are still bugged here (at least AFAIK) which is HUGE for melee dps. I obviously am not saying that glancing blows are 100 percent responsible for the numbers I see some furies pull, but no glances > more rage > more HS spam > more deeps.

Glancing's have very little to do with the high-end fury numbers.

Get your facts straight...

If you are comparing his DPS to one of the TOP dps warriors on Kronos the first thing you need to check is fight length. This is a 5:15 min fight, and most bosses now wont last even 2 minutes.
So what a shorter fight length means? > The more you have up-time on your cooldowns during the fight the more dps you get on the meter.

Second but not less important? His skill level, i'm not saying he is bad (i don't play warrior and I'm not competent to judge) but the gap is 10 years from then! Have you considered that today's warriors are a just better?

For the records. 1200+ DPS on a 5:15 minute fight is nothing to be joked about. With this gear he would do 2k+ on BWL bosses.
Am I the only person here who's seeing this guy stay in battlestance for virtually the entire fight until execute range and not using a proper DPS rotation or dumping off extra rage with more HS' /Spamstring? Of course he'd only be doing 1200dps, he failed to do what's necessary to maximize his DPS.

Its the only stat with increasing returns rather than diminishing returns.

BUT OH WAIT THERE IS NO ARMOR PENETRATION IN VANILLA RITE, BOSSES HAVE STATIC ARMOR REGARDLESS OF DEBUFFS RITE?



Btw on that patchwerk dps thing, with his gear most ppl that plays here would do 1.5k+ easily, he doesnt know how to stancedance and do proper rotation, is a gnome also not human so his dps is lacking some %3-4.

Hell you could even sit in battle stance and Spam BT/HS/OP the entire time. What the fuck? Rend?

Edit : I felt my attitude was a bit bad towards old players. No disrespect meant, im just stating facts that on retail people did not have as much theorycrafting and metagame knowledge as we do, and obviously we get much better results.

Peenix 1.12 had 3x Armor values on all bosses, hundreds of warrior were pulling 1.3k+ dps on patchwerk with those armor values. This alone confirms that even modified armor values can't stop dps players from outdoing retail vanilla players by far.

Kronos has retail armor values, melee dps increase expotentially based on player skill/buff/debuff usage. It's obvious we would get results such as these

Been raiding this server for weeks and Shaz hasn't lasted long enough to teleport, Geddon hasn't lasted long enough to aoe or put a bomb on anyone, rag wasn't even close to submerging when we were in greens.

It's a glorious mix of fucked up glancing blows, fucked up proc rates, and shitty armor values.

can you show us a proof of you hitting a boss with

from combat log? since you claim it works like that? You have 0 evidence for making a claim such as this.

PS: Recently there was a glancing blow bug report, turned out it didnt even effect the Bosses and was a training dummy/anachronos thing in the first place. People investigates this throughoutly last 2-3 months so if you're not a random troll, bring us proof.

Very similar bug to spells not being resistible on nostalrius if the spell crits, both very difficult to test. I play a druid anyways so I couldn't tell you.

To followup on that, spells on this server that get resisted can still give crit benefits such as nature's grace (druid crit talent).

You can keep claiming that I'm a troll because I'm calling out your precious server you've wasted a ton of time on, but realmplayers should be enough to show you just how blatantly undertuned and broken combat mechanics are. Lucifron died in 15 seconds last week, seems gr8.

I'll have some of the melees take screenshots of their combat log this upcoming week to try to isolate it, but multiple months of complaints about the undertuned bosses shouldn't go unresponded to.

Off course there are no glancing blows when an ability crits, yellow attack hit table does not have glancing blows in the first place.

If you are talking about white crits, off course there are no "glanced criticals" in the first place. What should happen is with all the buffs you should be doing %40 of your whites as glancing blows, rest being miss/dodge/crit with remainder as normal whites.

So as i said before, this isnt rocket science, test your percentages, and tell us glancings are not working later if you even care about it.

I personally do, so im giving you the compilation of logs from the person that made the actual bug report few months ago.

Look at Eavesdrop in the lower-right corner. The numbers with ~X~ are glancing and *Y* are crits. I have 305 sword skill which gives glancing blows average of 85% normal white damage.

What's the issue again?

I'm new here, so forgive me for jumping in, but I have to say from my vanilla experience, most of your raid sucked lol. I can almost guarantee the people playing now would be considered the top 1-10% of what a normal server had in terms of knowledge and skill. Plus, don't tell me that people don't get better over time (assuming we have played at least 2-3 expansions since coming to a private vanilla server).

So yea, we need to be careful when looking back at things. I think the skill gap accounts for a lot of the 'ease' of a server like this. Like I said, in vanilla 40 man raid, there were probably only 5-10 good to great players in that raid. I would not be surprised that the average raiding guild here has skill and knowledge equal to a top 100 guild worldwide back in Vanilla.

I totally agree. I personally sucked big tine in retail vanills. Compared to now i had no clue what i was doing. On my server there 2-3 guilds who killed ctun and not like every week. They did it once in a while when they could prepare well enough.
