Detailed list of violations

This is a more detailed description of all the punishable violations. Every point is depicted in such a way that everyone should easily understand what is meant by the violation. Some points also include the requirements that potential evidence provided by a player reporting another player has to meet to be considered sufficient. Please be aware of the fact that it is the reporting player who is required to support his report with evidence.

GMs are not obliged to provide any screenshots or any other materials to explain the reason for the punishment imposed.

Looting chests while under the effect of a paladin’s Divine Shield
- It is forbidden to loot any chest while under the effect of a paladin’s Divine Shield.

Assaulting bases and carrying the flag in BGs
- It is forbidden to assault bases (e.g. in Arathi Basin) or carry the flag (e.g. in Warsong Gulch) using any irregular ways of doing so.

Ban on running casinos
- It is forbidden to use any kind of character for the purpose of running a casino.

Ban on CoD frauds
- It is forbidden to send in-game mails with fraudulent content in order to deceive and rob other players. Mails shall contain a text message clearly stating the purpose of the mail. Sending an empty mail is not considered a CoD fraud.

Ignoring a decision of a TS Team member
- Ignoring a decision of a TS Team member is considered a violation of the rules.

Advertising other server
- It is forbidden to advertise other servers dealing with an activity that is same as or similar to the one(s) Twinstar.cz deals with. It is also forbidden to publish links to or information about places containing information about other servers dealing with an activity that is same as or similar to the one(s) Twinstar.cz deals with.
- It is forbidden to conduct any commercial activity and/or insert any commercial announcements.

Bugging totems or pets
- It is forbidden to use totems or pets for the purpose of attacking the other faction without it having the possibility to defend itself (e.g. in Shattrah City).

Blinking through doors
- Should you encounter any closed doors, you are forbidden to shorten your path and/or try to get through such doors by using a mage’s Blink, a port by a warlock or any other inappropriate way. Should you encounter any bugged closed doors (meaning they should have opened but they did not), you are forbidden to use any of the above stated actions to get round the bug.

Using quest items, vehicles or any other things provided for completing a quest to perform an activity different from their original and intended purpose
- It is forbidden to use quest items and/or any other things provided for completing a quest to perform an activity that is not directly related to the quest itself (using it for completing other quests, attacking the other faction etc.).
- The same applies to vehicles if they are provided for completing a quest. This rule does not apply to using vehicles during in-game events.
- The screenshot has to contain a player with an active quest item buff and the combat log.

Pulling and/or killing bosses outside their allotted area
- Every boss has its own allotted area, where it uses its abilities and its encounter takes place. If you pull it out of this area, it negatively affects the entire process of the encounter (the boss will not cast some spells, summon mobs, proceed to another phase etc.) making it easier than it should be. The punishment is then imposed on the ENTIRE RAID/PARTY – there is no difference between a player who has actively taken part in killing the boss or NPCs related to the boss’s event outside its/their allotted area and a player who has not done so. This rule does not apply to the Vault of Archavon raid if the group pulls the boss out of his allotted area only in order to get the achievement.

Bugging instance IDs
- Every instance has its own respawn time. It is the period that has to pass before the bosses and NPCs in the instance respawn again. If the respawn time is bugged and the boss can be killed multiple times within this period, it is an error. If it is found out that a player (players), party, raid or a guild has been to one instance more than once within its respawn time (within one ID), he/it will be punished. Of course, you will not break any rules if you decide to progress a raid or a dungeon and kill two bosses on the first day and the other three on the second day. However, if the two bosses you have killed respawn the following day, you shall not kill them and proceed to the other three. The punishment is then imposed on the ENTIRE RAID/PARTY – there is no difference between a player who was in the instance the previous day and a player who was not.

Bugging bosses’ phases
- Some bosses have different phases, which they enter or leave according to certain factors (some spell is cast or some class is in the raid, the number of the players’ HPs etc.). In some situations, these transitions can be bugged, thus preventing the boss from entering another phase and making the entire encounter easier than it should be. The punishment is then imposed on the ENTIRE RAID/PARTY – there is no difference between a player who has actively taken part in killing the boss or NPCs related to the boss’s event without it/them going through all the phases properly and a player who has not done so.

Bugging events in instances
- In some instances, players are required to complete some kind of global task to proceed further. The objective is usually killing a boss or all the bosses. The thing is that it is often enough to aggro the boss and then die – the server regards this behaviour as completing the task, which is a bug. Players are obliged to do everything they are required to do, and if they are supposed to kill the boss, they shall do so. For instance, in the Icecrown Citadel instance, players have to first kill the boss Lord Marrowgar and then they can walk through the open doors and proceed to another boss. The punishment is then imposed on the ENTIRE RAID/PARTY – there is no difference between a player who has actively taken part in killing the boss without the preceding event completed and a player who has not done so.

Ban on having more players in an instance
- It is forbidden to go into a raid or dungeon instance with a raid/party consisting of more players than the instance is designed for. The maximum numbers of members are: 5 players for 5-man instances, 10 for 10-man, 25 for 25-man and 40 players for 40-man instances. It makes no difference whether these extra members are online or offline!
- Players who have not been present during the entire fight with the boss shall not loot any items from the boss.

Bugging guards’ aggro in neutral cities
- There are cities belonging to both factions, where the PVP status does not turn off and which are patrolled by special guards (e.g. Gadgetzan, Everlook, Area 52 etc.). In these cities it is forbidden to attack a player from the opposite faction in such a way that would prevent the guards from access to the attacking player or would not make the guards react at all.
- This rule doesn't apply on Kronos.

Bugging the PVP status
- It can sometimes happen that a player’s PVP status is not turned on upon entering a BG or a hostile territory. With the PVP status disabled, players shall not assault bases, carry the flag or otherwise influence the course of a battleground.

Bugging a BG’s beginning
- After a battleground begins, there is one minute left before the gate to the main base opens and the battle itself is started. However, in some cases this gate is missing, and therefore there is no obstacle preventing the players from beginning the battle immediately. Players shall remain in their faction’s home base until the BG is officially started.
- The screenshot has to contain the chat record implying that the BG has not started yet (announcements like “Battle of Arathi Basin starts in 30 seconds” etc.), and the reported player has to be clearly visible. It is also possible to capture your home base’s closed gate.

Abusing Pathfinding and Line of Sight bugs
- It is forbidden to abuse any Pathfinding or Line of Sight bugs in order to kill a player, boss or whatever else. For example, a player shall not kill an NPC in a way that would prevent it from getting to the attacker and reacting properly. This rule applies to all in-game areas (world, BGs etc.). Players shall report every bug they find into the bugreport and never abuse this bug again.
- Safespotting in PvP is allowed on Kronos.

Abusing the ticket system
- Players can use the ticket system if they want to request technical support about an issue, bug etc. that requires a GM to intervene. Players abusing this system by, for instance, sending irrelevant messages like “When a new patch will be on Twinstar”, “When are you planning to open Hyjal/BT/whatever”, “Can you rename my account, “Where is this and that” and so on will be banned.

Win Trading
- Any attempts to affect the rating of an arena team are forbidden. These attempts include voluntarily losing arena matches or any other irregular ways of playing rated arenas. If you want to try something or play just for fun, use skirmish arenas.
- Any attempts to affect the amount of rating acquired from a rated BG are forbidden. These attempts include voluntarily losing the matches or any other irregular ways of playing rated battlegrounds.
- If we prove that a team has been involved in arena win trading, the members of this team will have all their arena/conquest points, arena teams, win-traded achievements and PVP gear deleted and will be banned for 42 days. At the same time, such a team (and/or any players being in the same team as the player proven guilty) cannot obtain any Season Reward at the end of the ongoing season.
- If we prove that a team has been involved in rated battleground win trading, the members of this team will have all their conquest points, rated BG rating and win-traded achievements deleted and will be banned for 21 days. At the same time, such a team cannot obtain any Season Reward at the end of the ongoing season.

Honor Trading
- Any irregular attempts to affect the amount of Honor Points or honourable kills are forbidden.
- If we prove that a player has committed this violation, he will have all his Honor Points and gear bought for Honor Points deleted.

Breaking the event rules or deliberately spoiling an event
- We make the events for you, players, but sometimes we have to cope with a player who is not interested in them and starts spoiling the fun for others and ruining EMs’ work. Therefore, any deliberate efforts to ruin our work and/or any violation of the event rules will be punished with a ban.

Colouring or otherwise modifying texts on communication channels
- It is forbidden to use macros/scripts/addons or any other instruments for the purpose of colouring and/or otherwise modifying texts on any communication channel including “/say”, “/whisp”, “/yell” etc. It is also forbidden to modify real items’ texts for the purpose of colouring these texts. On the other hand, players are allowed to post real items with their real names, which are automatically coloured depending on their quality.
- The screenshot has to contain the reported player’s nick and the coloured and/or otherwise modified text.

Abusing the owner’s/moderator’s rights on the world channel
- It is forbidden to kick or ban somebody from the world channel without a reason and/or otherwise abuse the rights assigned. Use the MUTE function should you have to cope with a spammer.
- The screenshot has to contain the act of groundless kicking or banning along with a long enough history of the world channel (at least 20 lines).

Communicating on the Ares and Kronos server’s public channels
- On all public channels channels, players shall communicate exclusively in English.
- On the worldCZ channel, players shall communicate either in Czech or Slovak.

Abusive language
- Using abusive language in-game is punished with a mute but the player can be banned as well. The length and the extent of the ban can be gradually increased up to the ultimate penalty (IP ban) should we have to cope with a case of extremely inappropriate behaviour. It depends on the GM how he will assess the situation and then punish the player(s) involved.
- The screenshot has to contain the clearly visible nick of the reported player and the abusive language he has used.
- This rule applies to all public channels in the game. (Public channels: “/say”, “/emote”, “/yell”, basic WoW channels, “/world (/worldCZ)”, “/aukcepostav” and “/bg” or “/raid” in BGs. Private channels: “/whisper”, “/party”, “/raid”, your own channel.)

A repeated usage of unbearably abusive language in-game or on the forum
- If a player uses abusive language, is punished with a ban on his account and despite this he creates a new account and a new character in order to continue with being abusive in-game, the GM is allowed to ban the player’s IP address. We are aware of the fact that in many cases an IP ban might result in blocking a larger group of players who have not committed any violation but only share their IP address with the culprit. However, in such cases there really is no other option.
- In some cases the GM can impose two joint punishments – in-game and on the forum. The moderator can do this as well. It means that if you get banned in-game, you will get banned on the forum as well and vice versa.

Flame
- Flaming is defined as any action whose purpose is to provoke spamming, arguing, insulting other players etc. It is punished with a mute, but the player can be banned as well. In extreme cases, an IP ban can be imposed. It depends on the GM how he is going to assess the situation.
- The screenshot has to contain the clearly visible nick of the reported player and the record of his flame.

Flooding
- Flooding is punished with a mute, but the player can be banned as well. In extreme cases, an IP ban can be imposed. It depends on the GM how he is going to assess the situation.
- The screenshot has to contain the clearly visible nick of the reported player and the record of his flooding.

Inappropriate names of guilds, arena teams and characters
- It is forbidden to give your guilds, characters or arena teams inappropriate or offensive names. As for characters, the first violation of this rule will be punished with a ban and a forced rename. Committing the violation again might result in deleting the character. Guilds and arena teams flouting this rule will be deleted anytime and without previous warning. An inappropriate or offensive name of the arena team can even lead to the team being excluded from the final results of a PVP season and therefore not receiving any reward.

Insulting members of the TS team
- Members of the TS team do their work voluntarily in their free time. On this server, there is no place for ill-mannered people as well as for any unicellular organisms who are not able to appreciate what we are doing and are not intelligent enough to keep their mouths shut. Any swear-words, stupid remarks etc. addressing the work done by the TS team will be punished. If this behaviour repeats, the length and the extent of the punishment can be gradually increased up to the ultimate penalty (IP ban) in extreme cases. The length and the extent of the ban depend on how the GM will assess the situation.
- The screenshot has to contain the clearly visible nick of the reported player and the swear-words, stupid remarks etc. he used and thus violated this rule.

Taunts addressed to the TS team
- Any form of mockery towards the work done by the team, towards its member or the entire team will be punished very heavily. In every single case, the punishment includes an in-game penalty. Should we have to cope with some extreme case of such behaviour, it might result in filing a complaint against such a player. We do not have any problem with constructive criticism, but it has to be polite in the first place. Such criticism is only welcome, and if a player shows his interest, it is possible to arrange a “meeting” with more team members on the IRC or Mumble. However, we really will not tolerate any louts on this server.

Pretending to be a TS team member
- Any form of pretending to be a TS team member (whether it is a player himself pretending to be a TS team member or a player pretending that somebody else is a TS team member) is forbidden.
- It is also forbidden to threaten players that your friend/colleague/relative etc. is a GM/admin or any other team member.
- How can you identify a GM in-game: GMs cannot be found via the Who list; the blue icon is in front of their name, not behind; they usually have level 61 (Vanilla) / 71 (TBC) / 81 (WotLK) characters and are in a guild called “GMs”; if you communicate with a GM, a special chat window pops up. The list of all TS team members is available on our web page.
- System messages are completely yellow (or red), and you can verify their authenticity on our web (www.twinstar.cz) only a few moments after they appear in-game.
- Most of the times, a player violating this rule is trying to trick other players into providing their login data or he wants to intimidate them, blackmail them or make them do something. Therefore, if you encounter a player trying to pretend to be a TS team member, report him immediately and he will get what he deserves.

Counterfeiting screenshots in the Blacklist
- In the Blacklist, players shall not post screenshots which have been taken on other servers or graphically or otherwise modified for the purpose of falsely accusing another player of violating the rules. It is also forbidden to send such screenshots to any TS team member.

Abusing the Blacklist
- The Blacklist’s only purpose is to serve as a place for reporting violations of the rules. It is forbidden to use the Blacklist as an instrument for resolving personal disputes and create irrelevant reports, which delay GMs from dealing with real issues.

Ban on trading accounts and/or characters on public channels
It is strictly forbidden to trade characters, accounts, Stars, gold or whatever else from WoW for real money or anything else not related to the TwinStar servers.
- Any form of trading with accounts is forbidden.
- It is strictly forbidden to offer or ask for exchanging, purchasing or selling a character on public channels (public channels are “/say”, “/emote”, “/yell”, basic WoW channels, “/world (/worldCZ)”, “/aukcepostav” and “/bg” or “/raid” in BGs). For this purpose, use only the “aukce postav” channel (see the next point).
- If players want to trade with characters, they have a special in-game channel for it – “/aukcepostav”. This channel can be joined by typing the command “/join aukcepostav”.
- It is allowed to trade only with Twinstar accounts and/or characters. Trading with any other accounts and/or characters is strictly forbidden.
- Players themselves have to ensure that their offer/demand concerning character trading is sent to the right channel. The fact that the player has sent his offer/demand to a wrong channel by mistake (of any kind) will not be taken into consideration.
- Character trading is only allowed by means of our character auction in the account manager.

Ban on any form of trading with Stars outside the account manager
- It is strictly forbidden to trade Stars for real money.
- It is forbidden to offer or ask for exchanging, purchasing or selling Stars for in-game gold, commodities or whatever else.

Using automated software for unmanned playing on the server
- It is forbidden to use any third-side applications and/or programs which can perform actions such as fishing, levelling up a character, mining, collecting herbs etc. without having to be controlled by a player.
- Multiboxing is allowed on Hyperion and Artemis.
- Violating this rule might result in banning the player’s IP address.

Using tools modifying the client’s operations or the communication with the server
- It is forbidden to use any third-side applications and/or programs (speedhack, flyhack, teleporthack, minimaphack and all the other similar utilities) gaining a player unfair advantages over other players. Players are not allowed to manipulate the game's data files in any way, whether by modifying the current ones or adding new ones. It is considered a gross violation of the rules and is punished with a permanent ban imposed on the culprit’s account without any previous warning.
- If you encounter a player using one of these utilities, the best way to get rid of him is to contact an online GM by submitting an in-game ticket, whispering him or sending him a private message on the IRC. Should you be asked to provide clear and convincing evidence, a fly hacker can be convinced based simply on a screenshot, whereas in a case of speed hacking we would like to see at least a short video.
- Violating this rule might result in banning the player’s IP address.

Ban on trading with heirlooms and other Bind to Account items
- It is strictly forbidden to trade with heirlooms and other Bind to Account items on public channels (public channels are “/say”, “/emote”, “/yell”, basic WoW channels, “/world (/worldCZ)”, “/aukcepostav” and “/bg” or “/raid” in BGs).
- We would like to warn you that in most cases of trading with BtA items, the player initiating the trade is trying to rob the other player. If you decide to conduct such a trade, it is on your own risk.

Notice
- The length and the extent of a punishment imposed for abusing bugs and errors not described in this list are exclusively up to the GM or the server’s administrator.
- If a player encounters a bug not described in this list, it does not mean that he cannot be punished. In such a case, the length and the extent of the punishment imposed are exclusively up to the GM.

“Five times is enough”
- If a player repeatedly violates the server rules and the number of his bans reaches five, his account might be permanently banned without any previous warning!

The length and the extent of a punishment are completely up to the GM/admin
- It depends on the GM how he will assess the gravity of the violation and what form, length and extent of the punishment he will decide to impose. It is also solely up to him whether he will take into consideration some secondary circumstances when deciding about the punishment.
- If we find out that a violation of the rules has been committed by a character which had been undoubtedly created solely for the purpose of breaking the rules or that a gross violation of the rules has been committed, the GM is allowed to ban not only the character proven guilty, but the guilty player’s other accounts as well.

Besides banning somebody, we can inflict a material punishment
- If a player behaves inappropriately, there are more ways of punishing him. Besides banning him temporarily, we can also affect his character’s stats, abilities, level, achievements, remove his gear etc. For example, if a player is proven guilty of bugging honor/arena points, he will not only be banned for some time, but we will also delete some (or all) pieces of his PVP gear and reduce (or eradicate) the number of his honor/arena points. We can similarly cope with a case of bugging some reputation: depending on the GM’s decision, the player proven guilty of committing this violation will lose a certain number of reputation points without any claim for resetting the quests he has already completed. You can certainly think of more situations when this rule can be applied.

The wording of the rules was approved by the server’s administrator after it had been discussed with other members of the team.
