Problem Log in troubleshooting (new player)

Hello, I downloaded the game through http://www.kronos-wow.com/how-to-connect/ and had some trouble with editing realmlist.wtf. I got an error message that it was a save-only file (however the "save only" box was NOT checked in the options window) and to edit I needed to change the file type (to .txt for example). I did that and was able to figure out how to change it back to .wtf and move the file back into the Kronos WoW folder. Everything LOOKS as it should, but the Launcher is still giving me a message that it cannot connect to the server. I would appreciate any suggestions. I'm on a PC using Windows 7 Ultimate. Let me know if you need more information. Thank you.
