The quest 'Precarious Predicament' is bugged. I submitted an in game ticket and the response was to delete my WDB folder. After doing so and reattempting the quest several times it is still bugged.
The quest is the escort quest after completing the 'Grark Lorkrub' quest. The bug is that Grark will disappear during the escort and the quest will fail.
Things I have noted while attempting this quest:
- Grark will phase in and out of visibility at certain points during the escort, but he can still be found with /tar (this does not always occur, but happens more frequently when in a group).
- Grark will always disappear at the same point when in a party, which is the area right before the elite pack of dragonkin that he is meant to walk through.
- The above disappearance can be averted IF: the player on the quest is NOT in a group; the dragonkin are not dead; and the dragonkin are not aggroed.
- As above, the only way I have been able to get Grark not to disappear at this point, is by: A. Being solo (not in a group), B. Not killing any of the elite dragonkin, C. Not aggroing any of the elite dragonkin. If any of those three things occur Grark will disappear and the quest will fail.
- Once past the elite dragonkin and the 2nd pack of mobs spawn around Grark he will STILL disappear after a certain amount of time, as I was unable to kill all 4 solo (since being in a party bugs the quest) before he disappeared.
I have attempted this quest MANY, MANY times in order to provide the above information, and though I have progressed on it, I am still unable to complete it and the quest is most definitely bugged.
