Why does Polymorph keep breaking in 5 seconds (or less) against players 3-4 levels higher than me?

No, they're not trinketing it, unless every one I've fought so far is a noob clicker that takes 5 seconds to click their trinket.

Re: Polymorph breaking almost instantly

Heartbeat resistance. The higher level they are the better chance they have to break early.

Re: Polymorph breaking almost instantly

Higher players overall just are less susceptible to your 'stuff' (damage, cc, etc), esp if it is an issue of gear. But yeah, you are less able to 'influence' the player's mobility through your cc when they are, in a sense, superior to you via level.

Re: Polymorph breaking almost instantly

If you're polymorphing them over and over again, they're suffering from diminishing returns and each subsequent recast will be less and less effective. This, combined with them being a higher level than you, is why you're seeing short polymorphs.

Re: Polymorph breaking almost instantly

A piece of advice, roll Rogue, we have lovely seperate diminishing return CDs. In essence, Sap, Blind, Gouge, and stuns (Cheapshot/Kidney) run of different diminishing returns.

On the other hand don't, as we all know rogues are severely underpowered compared to other classes. Even though all use rogues are in essence superior players, because everyone knows only skilled players choose rogue.

*end sarcasm*

He's right you know.
It's a proven fact that all the skilled players chose rogue, and all the suck players chose other classes
