[Suggestion] Guild Feature

Most know what a guild-creator website is and that you can create a free guild page with a few free features and can from there then for additional payment increase the list of features that you can make use of.

My suggestion is basically for twinstar to make a page for guilds, similar to the armory however rather than just being able to see the roster it will be a small forum with recruit, signup, last online/activity and raid progress feature's where those who arent member's only see the surface the member's are able to sign up for a raid or chat in the private member's only room. for a small payment as the leader you can then purchase additional forum rooms or other feature's that are permanent once they are bought.

this would be a nice income for Twinstar since it doesn't need to be covered under donation and players wouldn't use other sites such as guildlaunch since a guild here would be updated from the armory database with rank and roster + it would be easy for players to search for a guild on the server that they play on or request invite even while the officer or master is offline.

Note: This is just a suggestion to make more use of the Armory and to earn some money for the servers by giving out a free minimum guild service and then some paid extra features, ofc this would take some time but the base design can almost be copied from any site and afterwards they could earn money on it not just as "donation" since it hosting such service isn't licensed but they could accept real payments and it would make the site even more attractive

Nice idea. I don't see how they can profit from it though. As any premium service (eg. DKP tracking/raid sign-ups) can be found on other free websites. Can't think of any features a guild would pay for on a website.

something like hooking into the armory providing some links and when a player is invited in-game he is automatically added to the rooster, or adding activity feed that shows /played since a person became a member of the guild, those could be free and make sure people pick twinstar over any competitor.

then they could ask for a one-time payment for improving the activity feed so it shows the /played since he became a member to show it on a graph that is spread over 1-12 month's or add rank history to see who had that rank and how long a player has been active since he was promoted, or auto raid progress tracking.

then they could have a yearly small subscription fee for package solutions such as:
-Track guild dungeon/raid progress live and show when a boss has been killed in-game
-TS server for 5-10-15-40 players depending on package
-placed higher on the list when searching on the guild search similar to google when you pay them.
-storage increase for picture's and similar.
-extra raid pools
-link to stream's

well these are just some of my thoughts about what would be worth for a guild website but you can see an example here twinstar has no advertising popups and it has the advantage of being able to hook directly into the data. speaking of which i kind of hope they will add character avatar's like on blizzard where you have character icon and name rather than account on forums :D

It would indeed be nice if the server makes money from something like that instead of putting up raid gear for donation. Im not saying they will, but there's always a chance for it to happen sooner or later, like ED.

nah i kinda doubt it since ED is hosted by a weak/poor host which forces them to take that choice but yes it is great adding free features with a possibility to upgrade by paying them and they wouldn't even need to cover it up as donation since as said its an online service that isn't licensed by blizzard like the game. They could still choose to call it a donation but it would be an in-come that would increase and stay.

+ it would be the first private server to offer such a service which undoubtedly would make more consider moving to twinstar and not only for Kronos but taking a look at all they have .

note: and since the guilds would be on twinstar people would actively come across twinstars forums more often even after release and they would be more likely to report things if they spot anything.

There won't be an itemshop for gear ever. Twinstar knows damn well how its player base is feeling about it.

For the suggestion. Why bother to create something that already exists?
And its not as simple as you make it sound to "copy" a site or layout.

At the moment it is better focusing on important features like the game itself instead of thinking about optional features that would only slow down the TwinStar Team.

Maybe u start one time suggesting they could add you a personal pink pony ranch ingame <3

Correct there are more important matters to address first but a suggestion is a suggestion, it seems most don't know what suggest/discuss means but go ahead and consider it a troll-carnival like Zed or get offended mixing other's comments into it and start to think it's some sort of demand like Lhart's...

this is no demand or troll-carnival... its a suggestion so it can sit for month's, years or forever until it gathers enough feedback and has been discussed enough or until they decide they want to build some more on the website and look through suggestions and add a few ideas to the brainstorm...

note: sorry for sounding offended and even mentioning your names but i actually get offended when i see someone such as Zed with higher than default user title miss-use their authority or when they troll around instead of serving as good examples for future user's... if you don't like a thread and cannot contribute with something related to it then you should move on to the next and ignore it. giving an opinion is fine but you should at all times remember the difference between discussion, suggestion, feedback, complaint etc.

another idea would be to make iframe-friendly links for armory & twinhead, thereby allowing people to use those tools from other websites.

for example cutting it out like this:
TwinArmory.jpg
instead of getting the entire website picture you only get the center that you can use, allowing it to fit perfectly into almost any iframe. So guild websites can link directly to twinstar through their own and make use of the features unique to twinstar servers.

and as said before: this is just a suggestion.

still.... this is just a "suggestion".

suggestions are similar to feedback in the sense that they shouldn't be answered but only taken a look at and if you have thoughts you add them as reply, lets say Zed suggests his favorite pony ranch... you could choose to ignore it or give a comment saying it is not going to happen since the game stands for a pure quality based 1.12.1 version so there will be no such content and with that your opinion is given and the thread will die in peace like all bad/silly or less desired suggestions.

i see no reason to look at a suggestion, thinking its no-good and the first action taken is troll or derail and keep the thread active by insulting the creator rather than to ignore it.... It's a bad example to be setting.

note: if you shoot down suggestions and every thread that you simply dislike by trolling, harassing, derailing or simply joking then you spread the word that you think it is ok and at the same time tell others that if you see a thread you might do the same and scare people from even opening a thread to suggest or discuss. So rather than doing that just give an honest short answer and the thread's will die out on their own if they where destined to rather than being reincarnated as harassment/troll threads where the creator tries to keep it on track and trolls derail it, resulting in chaos.

So instead of politely letting you know that a suggestion made by you will not be realized we should instead let you waste your time and efforts arguing for said suggestion, which we are aware we will never implement. Okay.

you didn't read what i wrote....

i said instead of joking, derailing or trolling you should give a short answer and be polite.
you started out purely joking with a random song and then 5 min. later you edited in an actual polite answer.

also later on i added a new thought slightly similar to what i first suggested but instead of having twinstar host they could make their armory & twinhead iframe friendly which ould be easy since those are just .php which could be linked smaller without head, bottom and sides which would make it easy for guild pages to use twinstar unique features or link into them via rss feed.
