Hey everyone,

like all of you here im excited about the opening of the server.

I never got to experience true retail vanilla, but in the last years i spent alot of time on other vanilla projects, but only in a casual way, and i realy enjoyed it. I played two druids in that time both till lvl 60 one restro and one feral tank (no raiding).

Just loving the flexibility a druid has. this is why i want to try out something new, at least new to me. i dont know if such a build is already used or not, i just sat down and thought of some nice support talents with healing potential and also bg and world pvp potential during the leveling process.

And i considered LW and Skinning as professions, because i'd be able to craft caster- and melee gear. And i didnt pick that up for a long time.

And i would realy like to hear your ideas and thoughts, so i may be able to improve it, since i never tested it. (But planing to do on and instant 60 server)

Thanks for you time :)

might be wrong here but seems like you are going too far down the balance tree for raiding but i know that for any 5-10 man dungeon you are fine

Hi Lulaine. yea you are absolutely right with the point about raiding. But im not planing to right now.
I tested this spec with d1 set and some blue gear, and was easily able to kill elites from Silithus and the devilsaures and guardians in Un'goro. Today i want to try out some bgs and lvl 60 5 men. Will report my results here.

This is the basic build for all beginners. Since there are no really useful talents in the higher feral or balance trees, just cover all the useful restoration talents and put the remaining 5 points into Nature's Grasp. Although it's nearly useless for raids, it's pretty handy for solo play.
This would be the preferable build for 5man/10man instances, with a better possibility to defuse emergency situations with Swiftmend, and Subtlety will increase your chances of survival significantly: http://www.wowprovider.com/Old.aspx?talent=11215875_11_8014ze505503155315251

This is the build for advanced raiders with some better gear, since crit becomes very valuable with it. It takes away Swiftmend and Subtlety, but gives 9% less mana cost and 0,5s cast time reduce after a spell crit. Subtlety should really not be necessary in 20/40man raids anymore and Swiftmend is worth losing for increased mana efficiency and faster casting speeds from time to time. Nature's Focus and Improved Rejuvenation are no vital talents for raiding, since Healing Touch will be your main spell and you should not take damage very often that disrupts your casts. The Talents put into Balance before Nature's Grace & Moonglow are not necessarily to be copied (except for Improved Thorns maybe):http://www.wowprovider.com/?talent=11215875_11_80143c33020413s505003125015d

And before you get any good feral/balance gear and you want to play PvP here's a build for that(OP WSG flag carrier spec!) but you can of course take 4/5 imp MotW instead of 2/5 imp MotW and 2/5 imp Regrowth: http://www.wowprovider.com/?talent=11226005_11_8014d3k502301j255020105315021

Hi Kengar, thanks for your comment.

Like i wrote above, im not new to the druid class. And the build i posted is not about raiding.
Its about having much fun during the lvling part and be able to pvp. U could say its pre 60 spec since i will not be able to rush to lvl cap.

Kengar, since u seem to have good knowlege about the druids talent tree, maybe u can share your thoughts about my raw version. Maybe like, where you could see any troubles or what you would change. Id rly appreciate it :)

I did 2 Warsong games now, both 3:0 for the Hord ;) had fun rooting everyone. I start liking this build alot.

What do you guys think would be the hardest opponent in a 1v1 situation?

Why would you try to level in caster form when feral is so much more efficient?

Feral talents are not necessary and kitty scales enough without them? I was pretty happy with the sustained killing speed of my feral Druid (until 50 after which I went boomchick) in BC and that counts quite a bit in not getting caught in world Pvp with low health and no mana.

Am I missing something obvious here?

Greetings Nelsha. I totaly get your point and i agree. Its just that i dont care about efficiency^^ i leveled a feral drood and yea its rly easy with about no downtimes. I dont care if this spec takes me the double amount of time to reach 60 if i get the double amount of fun out of it. And with the support kind of build i want to socialise alot with many players and grouping up. I hope i made my intention clear :)

Thanks for all your responds guys :)

Edit: And like i mentioned in the opening statement, ill be able to craft feral gear to be able to grind in cat form.

Thanks, looks like alot of fun.
Maybe my spec is a bit to passiv. Ill go deeper into balance, for a bit more action :)
Wish you guys alot of fun at launch, hope to see you ingame.
My aim for tomorrow: RFC clear xD
