Problem trouble with client?

I installed 1.12 client but my mouse isn't working when it's running? How do I fix this? It gets me to the user agreement but then I can't use the mouse. Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this
 
I sort of fixed it if anyone else is having this problem I ran in windowed mode by opening config and adding

SET gxWindow "1"
