Video theme suggestions

We, old players, have experienced many great things at kronos, what I (personaly) have never seen on the other servers. So we can suggest things, that are unique to the Kronos and what deserve to be in hype Videos.

My suggestions are:
BWL - Suppresion room
UBRS - Opening doors to the first room (event with braizers)
The Battle for Darrowshire Q event
Demetria <The Scarlet Oracle>
- Dynamic spawn and patroll
Overall patrolls, that are moving without players presence (no longer you will find a patrolling NPC on the same place again and again)


And what are your suggestions? ;-)
 
hmm since "Emerald Dream" is the current favored server, at-least until kronos arrives i think it should be based mainly on what they screwed up a lot. although that would be almost everything it would still hype those to realize the better choice so i would say.

-Escort Quests
-reputation loss/gain (on ED they the mobs who you loose rep with one faction to gain with another doesn't work correctly so you can farm rep with both opposing factions faster without the old tactics)
-Mob/pet pathfinding (no tunneling or halfway below ground mob's or pets that run miles around or run slower than the summoner, this also includes patrol's and mobs returning to patrol successfully)
-npc cooldown and summons (npc's cannot spam cc abilities and summoned minions despawn if their master dies)
-class/profession quests (some of those quests are either bugged or can be done by clicking the item you get...)

note: these are just few of the issues ED has, the only thing i use the server for now is to test my addon's so i am sure they are fixed when Kronos arrives :)
 
Thing is, all that has been shown so far does not work on ED, so I don't know what your point is actually :)
- Escort Quests
- ingame events
those are 2 pretty cool thing though if they really work.
 
yup and if all those work then it would be yet another huge hype making ED players realize who hosts the best 1.12.1

1 thing in particular is the pet path finding and stances which is truly horrendous on ED, on ED the pet stance can be random from time to time, passive can act as hostile and defensive act as passive + the pet despawns between 15-50 yard's when out of range it is rather random + it travels at 10-20% reduced speed when you run and walking on a bridge or jumping down a cliff makes it travel all the way around causing it to despawn or walk for 1-2 min. before it gets to where you are.... and when you use /reloadui the pet action bar disapears...

so yes ED is a heap of garbage but showing those horrible mutated/twisted bugs as solved would be awesome.
 
Another big aspect of the game are simply 5men dungeon runs which show special events and scripts!
(Stratholme, Scholomance, lower dungeons, blabla)

I also talked to Chero to show big quest lines like:
- Battle for Darrowshire
- In dreams
- Onyxia quains
- Scepter of Shifting Sands

(If you any find any other special or simply interesting quest chains/lines just mention them here!)
 
- Zul'Farrak (looking at ED's work on that one makes you wanna vomit)
- Scholomance (especially the door/gates where you can blink, summon or relog bug your way through when standing close on most 1.12.1 servers.)
 
About reloging through the doors, i'm not sure, but i think that this problem exist on all free servers and existed on retail too.
But blinking through them should not be posible on kronos.

if you stand really close to the door and you start summoning the target appears in the door and can move through, and the gate that is supposed to be closed with a chest behind is supposed to stay closed until boss dies but can be bugged too with blink, summon etc. but the worst of the bugs is re-log while being too close to the door so you don't need a key. but it is great to hear you cannot blink through, if they then just fixed summon and relog :)
 
It was shown in one of the videos, that doors are now blocking Line of Sight, so it should block blinks, summons, charges, etc...But i think that reloging is bug, that can't be fixed, since it works because you "catch" the moment, when your character is ingame, but doors are not loaded yet and clien't thinks, that there are no doors and let you pass through.
 
line of sight is not enough to block summon since you summon while standing extremely close to the door, this results in a high chance of the target being summoned within the door so he can move to either side of the door and get through.
 
Door's are infact solid objects now and thus prevent you from blinking through them.
Relogging does not work on Kronos either. So you better get your keys.

For the instances. Most events already worked really well before. Zul'Farrak event was not 100% there yet, but got pretty close. Would say arround 95%.

Scholomance was working really good at also about 99%. That includes bosses, doors (?!?), trash and of course events like in the room with the students or Kirtonos. You actually see him fly into the window before he starts attacking instead of just randomly appear out of thin air.

Can you tell something about:

Eastern Plaguelands: Tower quest and the whole world pvp Event. Buffs/Spectral NPC's/Graveyards/Spectral Gryphons.
Sillithus: Sillithyst event. 1 sillithyst should give 199 Honor and 10 Reputation and 5% more DMG.
Battleground: Randomly marking the Talent Symbol on the UI and opening the EXP bar. Opening an empty bag.
NPC's: Some NPC's have mana which they dont use. Nefarius for example always has so much mana even at the end of the fight.

Can someone talk about this with experience?
 
it would be interresting with a video about world pvp event's as those mentioned by "breda", including gurubashi would be fitting then as well ☺


Gurubashi arena: goblin announces in a yell that can be heard all over Stranglethorn, then slowly walks down and the chest spawns when he stands still for 1-3 second's, and then slowly returns to his original spot. the chest event is every 8 Hour's.

note: on ED the chest spawns 3 hours since last spawn so ppl can change when it spawns and they even sell the info on when it spawns + the goblin doesn't announce or walk down so theres not much arena over it.
 
no wait, the gurubashi arena event should occur every 3 hours. even wowwiki has a well explenation.
then i am just remembering the timer wrong i guess, but the rest is correct of that i am sure, wonder how i got the 8 hour idea then XD.

note: and ED's timer starts when looted, it is not every 3 hours but 3 hours from loot so ppl sell the info on when next spawn since goblin doesn't work + the chest on ED often has lvl 40-55 loot rather than the lvl's of stv :smile:
 
When Kronos was closed
Silithus - was mostly fixed as i remember.
EPL - Partialy fixed, but it had some bugs
Battlegrounds - I experienced only a logout window randomly appearing and i was told that it's probably caused by damaged packets.
NPCs - Well, it's not a major issue. I think that we'll have to hunt those NPCs after launch and find a proof, that they should not have mana.
 
in vanilla there where few minions that didn't have spells yet still had mana, i think the purpose was to make the priest ability "mana burn" and warlocks "drain mana" more usefull in world pve considering how few that had mana :/
 
I can only +++ for the Battle for Darrowshire :)redheart:) and Zul'Farrak event. Also it'd be good if some hard and interesting dungeon bosses will be shown in all their grace: Archaedas of Uldaman, for example, simply facerollable on Feenix - and have to be appropriately scripted here.
 
Players from ED would be happy to know that all the PvE & PvP is scripted and prepared for later as a working progressive content without a endless waiting between all major events.

Players from ED are like waiting forever AQ's opening. Many high level guilds are banned and have stopped playing without counting the player cap decreased during few months wich has cooled the ardour of many of them.
 
All content up to BWL is finished and "only" needs tuning. AQ was also beeing worked on before (previous kronos had AQ opening running and was at the verge of releasing AQ).

Which PvE content would you like to see the most?
 
An interesting and unique thing would be to have all low level dungeons working, this could improve by a lot the leveling quality and make a huge difference compared to all private servers. I'm looking forward to see the AQ opening since I never saw it in Retail, was in my school canteen when they've been opened...
