What happened to previous vanilla projects?

I'm not sure how i got to kronos but the advertisement so far isnt that great, there should be some spambot spamming feenix's and other vanilla servers trade/world chats all day yo.

That's not a cool way, no one will take you serious if you have this agressive approach. Either way it is kinda hard to convince players (on a server that is actually live) of a server that hasn't got a release date. Take a look at corecraft TBC, people gave up getting hyped for it. Development has been going on for years.

Also many people on feenix think it is "the competition" that is DDOS'ing the server. The truth is that they have crappy server stability.

Well either way I feel that Kronos badly needs a new twist to keep the hype going:
a) a new video that shows fixes of things that are usually broken on feenix (it has been discussed before: escort quests, pve instances...) I'm sure this is planned but I can't wait!
b) a release date
c) ???

Lol like the guy above me said, thats not a good way to go. Spamming only annoys people and puts them off.
I think we need a new and final release date asap; and Kronoez already said in a diff thread that that's going to happen soon.

Once we have that, they/we should be thinking about one or two QUALITY ads.
Personally I was thinking about some kind of Promotional Video. You know, with good editing; hype building; a clear picture of what Kronos is and what makes it better; when we're releasing; what the website/forum links are, etc.
A commercial basically. Put it on all social media and get it shared.
And really play into the fact that people who played Vanilla can relive it here like nowhere else.
I just think that they/we should refrain from promising "perfect this and perfect that" like all other private servers do, yet they dont deliver.

An answer to that is something theyre already doing, but perhaps do it more; big fixes and showcases.
Thats my thoughts for now.

Does anybody remember the server q-gaming? It opened short time before Feenix released ED, but got finished by DDoS coming from Feenix. For me that server was pretty promising, but the attacks killed it.

Well that server, unlike Kronos, also lacked hack protection so it was bound to fail from the start basically.

I'm counting this as a promise that we will be playing Kronos without to many disconnects. Thank you.

Getting answers on many of my posts by the Kronos Team, nice work, you won a loyal player!

Maybe soon we will get ETA and some promotional video aswell like this :cool2: http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=225851

That video looks amazing!! Really makes people want to play vanilla!

It has like 115k views damn where did all those players go?

I also see the release of K2 was 12-12-12. When emerald dream was about 3 months old, when people still believed bugs would get fixed. This might not have been the best timing to launch Kronos.

I didn't knew this trailer, really awesome and maybe are we going to have a new one for the 3rd and last launch of KRONOS ?

I believe that new trailer will come together with final announcement of release date.

The population is not as bad as he said (in regards to Valkyrie). It has increased on horde side for English a lot since rebirth went down. Nomads is the one and only English NA raid time guild on Horde side, most English speakers are on Alli. Even though you feel lonely questing and very true about the RUS community being heavy, the raid scene is still there.

The floating mobs is rare and is usually a Thousand Needles issues like most servers have. I actively play on this server but not investing too much of my time as I am excited for the release of Kronos and do not want to burn out before the release lvling other toons.
