I swear I read somewhere that the server is hosted in Switzerland, if not then I would guess that it's hosted in the Czech Republic.

I have played on servers based in Europe from Alaska and rarely noticed ping issues so you should not have any real problems if your down in the states.

It has been discussed before:

so probably around 100ms on east coast and 220 ms on west coast. If you want to test it yourself, you can connect to the twinstar tbc server. The ping should be roughly the same as it will be on kronos.
