A quick update before the Plague Wing PTR release.
Itemlevel is raised from 82 to 92 on the PTR, which means all tier 3 sets will be available on the PTR. Take note that we have not yet reviewed these sets for bugs so we would basically put the ball in your court on that and tell us where (if) they are not working fully as intended down to correct proc-chances and so on.
On the subject of the blizzlike quality of the wing, we are very pleased with the development and internal tests, and look forward to your feedback. Any observations that appear to be "non-blizzlike" (either easier or harder) should be considered a bug, and as such the correct response would be to report it to us in our Bug Tracker.
That being said, there is just one aspect in Plague Wing where we have implemented a custom-tweak. So far in our Naxxramas development (of any wing) this is the only time we have intentionally compromised our goal of being fully blizzlike. The change is made for Loatheb where Vampiric Embrace will be removed every 15 seconds, down from every 30 seconds. Other curses are not affected and will be removed every 30 seconds as intended.
The justification for this change is that we would like to ensure that Loatheb remains a 40-man encounter on Kronos, which otherwise would not neccesarily be the case.
PTR settings have been enabled in the following way:
- All monsters melee damage has been reduced by 50%
- All player damage has been increased by 50%
- All trash-monsters aggro range has been reduced to 10 yards.
- Bosses and boss-encounter adds have not had their aggro range reduced.
We advise you all to delete your WDB folder before logging onto the PTR to get the latest updates.
(even if you don't use the PTR it is a good idea to delete WDB every 3 weeks or so to be up to date)
Good luck to everyone in Plague Wing, and we encourage all raiding guilds to inform the Staff on our Discord whenever you are about to start a raid, so we can jump in to record the raid as that made a significant difference in dealing with the issues we discovered during the abomination test.
