Suggestion of possible bug

Garr, we used to clear past him, down that hallway toward baron like were skipping him. Have the whole raid wait where we were close to baron, but not in a place where he could be pulled. Hunters would line up,

Hunter 1 shoots garr, runs toward hunter 2, when hunter 2 is in range, he shoots gar, hunter 1 will feign death, garrs adds will reset, but garr is on hunter 2s aggro table, so he will not. A third hunter is usually there and ready, if for some reason hunter 1/2 mess up, he can usually do the same trick and clean up the mess. not always required if done right though. This was doable on almost any 'leashed' pack.

Golemagg could be pulled from the cliff overlooking him and his 2 adds, the adds would just bug out, golemagg would climb the slope and die. Also, he wouldn't leash. We once kited him all the way to the entrance to rag.


On ED baron geddon moved half as slow as would be expected on Retail. Also Rag had half the health he did in vanilla.

Razorgore, the adds never attempted to kill razorgore in phase 1, they would spawn and instantly target raiders. In phase 2, you were able to tank him by the pillars, allowing ranged and melee to still dps, but allowing them to dodge fireballs. provided they can pay attention and not just spam 3333333

Grounding totem, oh this is a big one. on ED grounding totem was a beast. it did everything. #1 ed totem by far. from absorbing drakisaths conflag in UBRS, to hakkars mind control in zg. This little guy could do it all. i would double check grounding totem, and then triple check it.

Buffs / debuffs of the same icon cancelling out. For instance, on ED there was a time where you could get rid of the debuff from azuregos by dueling a hunter, he frost traps you, the two icons are identical, so the new one 'buff' (or debuff in this case) overrides the existing buff. This happened in many different ways. Any time the game tried to place the same icon buff for some reason it would cancel out the old.

Only 1 mage could cast arcane missiles on a mob at a time. rip arcane lol

Ill keep pestering friends i played with on ED for the things we all hated.

The only thing I am not sure about is grounding totem.

EDIT: Seeing your reports from ED I seriously question how its community can claim anyting there "legit"...
 
Adds shouldn't reset on feign death, boss fight should put everyone in zone into combat state. Afaik feign death always could have been used on feenix servers to separate packs, this shouldn't be the case here.

Golemagg should reset as well, in case of someone pulling from above.
 
Yea i completely agree.

Feenix was up to shady shit, there were tons of reports on there bug tracker, but very few changes were ever implemented. I cant wait to see that server disappear.

The turnover rate was the most amazing part. People quit every day. Some come back a few months later, some dont. But for everyone that left, 2-3 new players joined to take his part.

With the exception of large guilds disbanding/disappearing due to frustration with the server, it had a constant increase in players. There are still a huge amount of players that want to play the vanilla WoW they remember. And so far its just a shell of what was once an amazing game.

They claimed to have the Ahn'Qiraji fights 'very close, only needing minor tweaking' and that was over a year ago at this point. a friend of mine suspects that AQ40 will conveniently be released right around the time of WoD release. Convenient. Wouldn't want to lose your huge player base to retail, gotta have some protection.

Not to mention the constant rumors of Saph/KZ not being scripted and never going to be.

they also have a reputation for banning people for disagreeing with them on the forums. (granted a fair amount of trolling from our part was tolerated for a long time) but there choice of banning an entire guild over the action of a few officers/guildies, was to say the least.. extreme.
 
I know how to avoid those Chrommy breaths (or any spell in that manner), I used to make my life easier while tanking Emperor in BRD. I will test it on the testrealm later.

That FD pull thingy should be fixed already, but we'll see.

I used to throw nades on Golemagg from that ledge, but that was a long time ago. Added to the checklist.

Baron Geddon was a speedy on K2. Added to the checklist anyway.

We (alliance) usually tanked him on the ramp so yes, ranged people were able to hide behind the pillars to avoid fireball damage. Melees could run behind too, but we didn't tank him next to the pillar, so not everyone did that. I'm not sure if that is wrong.

Can't say about grounding totem, never played a shaman here :blink: Added to the checklist.

Icons... yeah I abused this a lot, dispelling Mark of Nature debuff with Greater Nature Protection Potion :biggrin: Fixed long time ago back on Kronos 1 i think.

Arcane Missiles should be fine. Added to the checklist.
 
Regarding Shamans --

The Two-Handed Axe and Maces skill should retain the weapon skill if unspecced and then specced into again. Many people believe you had to level up the skill again in order to use it. This was fixed in patch 1.11.

Also, please check that shamans cannot simply train twohanded axes/maces from weapon masters (you can do this on some servers >.>)
 
Please also check Shield slam.

Make sure you test Opening with shield slam (sometimes on ED when shield slam is the first attack on the mob it would bug out and randomly path away from the warrior for 3-4 seconds)

Also ive noticed on a different mangos test server that sometimes when trying to use shield slam, if there isnt a debuff for the SS to dispel, it wont cast the ability. That wasnt on ED but i figured mentioning it.
 
Can you check the amount of Blood of Heros in EPL and WPL?

On Twinhead it only shows 4 in EPL and 2 in WPL.

On Wowwiki.com it shows 19 in EPL and 16 in WPL.

18. fear paths, fear actually shouldn't make u run in random direction but away from target. not a bug &working as intended

What about Death Coil? drives me nuts when I coil someone trying to get a clutch cast off, and red text shows up target not in line of sight, my enemy running around then porting to a different location, unharmed from the spell I attempted to cast. And yes I use my mouse to turn.
 
Most of the infamous bugs we had in other servers are already fixed from what i've seen in videos. I dont know if these things are fixed or not, just listing what i've encountered so far in other Pservers. Some of them are so minor that %90 of the players in that class will never realize them :p they are unimportant hehe

Charging after jumping down, or while knocked back by a NPC ability,
Parry mechanics, the swing speed timer increase,
Mobs being able to parry/block/dodge while casting,
Taunt mechanics, not current target's threat but the highest target in hate list. taunt with %hit etc, mocking blow and challenging shout granting permanent threat on target, chaining a 2nd taunt while first is still in effect causing aggro lose,
Glancing blow damage reduction and +weapon skill,
2H or 1H weapon specialisations increasing damage globally, talents taking effect only if you have a weapon equipped and bugging out if you take the talent when empty-handed,
Weapon type specs having correct chances, sword spec mechanics,
Demo/Battle shouts and Thunderclap threat,
Flurry proccing from ranged crits while not talented 5/5,
Defiance +skill bugging your own defense skill cap. If you take it under 300 def, you cant get to def cap without respeccing,
2 Warriors using bloodrage and buffing each other at the same time causing combat bug,
Shield slam "nothing to dispel" problems.(already mentioned above)

EB totem radius with talents,
2Handed Axes and Maces for shamans being taught from some weapon masters(lol), preserving weapon skill you had before(already mentioned above)
Tremor totem getting aggro when targets are feared,
Grounding totem absorbing everything,
Life/Mana totems and their threat generation(even when its overhealing),


Feline swiftness increasing dodge in bear form(lol, its a tbc core thats fo sho!),
Reju and Regrowth overwriting regardless of talent/heal power/rank,

Shamans and Druids being considered "caster" for the purpose of glancing blow damage reduction resulting in 10-15 damage with nightfall in hand :p
mobs CCed while channeling, resuming their cast after cc expires. Same thing happening when mobs that can "run away in fear" are dropped low enough when casting.
Being able to block hits from %100 elemental damage,

and many others that i cant remember. i know that some of them would be working correctly, some of them being too minor to fix, but just wanted to remind you guys what can happen in mangos core :)

What about engineering specializations? Are they going to work correctly here, with quest completion requirement and membership card renewals and stuff? Mainly asking because on that other server it's possible to learn both Gnomish and Goblin schematics as soon as you get enough profession skill, which is simply awful.

Specialization quests work. I don't even know about the membership renewal. Was never engineer on retail and quit with TBC. Was that really the case?

The post mentioning engineering cards is dated Jun 21, 2005 - this is as vanilla as it gets. As for those few recipes, most of them are quite important - and I really want to have my own name written in the descriptions of Net-o-Matics and Mindcontrol Helmets I use, not someone else's!)

Well, I hope this last bit about membership card is going to get fixed. It adds a nice bit of flavor to the profession, and the renewal gift has a chance to contain some cool schematics.

Some buggs wich often happen on private servers:

General:
- When going out of sight while a NPC is casting on you, he doesn't follow you around the corner, but just stands still doing nothing
- Blink or charge through the floor/through doors
- NPC who give a escort quest do not start walking (especially the mecanic chicken in Tanaris and the guy from "In Dreams" in the WP
- Bugging herb+ore spawnpoints (way too much at one area, way too less at one area, spawning in the air/ground)
- After a instant fear ran out you still walk into one direction for about 1-3 seconds without control
- Too high trash loot (e.g. a level 17 green item droped by a level 6 mob)
- Wrong @heal or @dmg calculation on spells (i don't know a source for exact values :( )
- Getting aggro while drinking from pulled mobs on whom the tank has no aggro yet
- When turing in the quest of "Foror's Compendium of Draogn Slaying" you don't get the next quest
- Ghosthealers in the battleground don't rezz you everytime, sometimes you have to wait more than once the 30 seconds
- You can't loot ore/hide etc while you are in a raid
- The group loot system does not work correct (like only one person can loot the questitem or everyody can loot every mob, so heals don't get anything in dungeons :D or the rolling on an items stops when someone shift-loots)

Druid:
- "Omen of Clarity" simply does not work
- "Feline Swiftness", if you shapeshift inside a building and than go outsight you don't get the speed bonus outsight
- Hots stack with hots of other druids

Hunter:
- Epicquest: You can't kite the one in Winterspring, the one in Ungoro does way too much meelee damage, the buggs from the one in silithus walk way too fast.
- Autoshot while drinking (e.g. your are in a bossfight, go oom, feigh deat, start an autoshot, before the shot hits you sit down to drink and keep on autoshooting while you are drinking)
- Bugged pet pathfinding (especially in caves)
- You can't rezz your pet while the lifebar is still there
- Pet gets rezzed with 1hp when the lifebar is away and you just call it with your pipe
- Pet can't attack a target wich is in your line of sight put not in the line of sight of the pet
- Pet behaves wrong in passiv stance (attacks e.g.)
- The beasts for your level 10 pet quest are sometimes not marked as a beast and you can't tame them
- Pet/you does not stop attacking when you use "Scatter Shot"
- Autoshot stays on your old target, when you switch target. Even if the old one is already dead
- "Entrapment" gets triggeret from ticks of your serpent sting

Mage:
- Blink through floor/doors. Same as warrior's charge
- Blink out of stun effects
- "Arcane Concentration" does not work
- You use "Ice Block" too late and die, but getting cooldown on "Ice Block"
- If there is more than one mage with "Winter's chill" the debuff is deleted whenever one hits and your stacks are lost (perhaps this was blizzlike, I don't remember)

Paladin:
- Reckoning does not work (put there is a own thread for that already here :D )
- You do "Divine Shield" too late and die, but get the cooldown
- When you judge "Seal of Command" on a stunned any you don't get the double damage
- Or you get always double damage from that
- "Two-Handed Weapon Specialization" also improves your damage with one-handers
- The horse for your epicmountquest in DM West does not work
- Big and little buffs stack
- Blessing of Light does not work when buffed on the ones you heal but gives @heal when you buff it to yourself and you heal others
- You can stack "Judgement of Wisdom" rank 1, 2 and 3 all on the boss (don't remember exactly if that was blizzlike)

Priest:
- "Blackout" procs way too often

Rogue:
- The 6er Bonus of your D1 set procs way too often
- "Improved Sap" does not work
- "Improved Poisons" does not work

Shaman:
- When you use "Elemental Mastery" while one bolt is on it's way to an enemy, that bolt eats the buff but does not krit 100%, so you spell is lost
- "Weapon of Windfury" and "Totem of Windfury" grants no additional attack power on your additional hits
- "Weapon of Windfury" and "Totem of Windfury" triggers (you see the emotion) but you get your hits not until your next hit (so you can save them like with reckoning of paladin)
- "Mana Tide Totem" does not give you mana
- "Grounding Totem" does not instantly work after you casted it
- "Poison Cleansing Totem" does nothing
- You can stack ranks of "Mana Spring Totem" (not sure if that was blizzlike)

Warlok:
- You can't get soul shards while you are in a raid
- Same problem with your pets like with hunter's pets
- "Health Funnel" does too much damage to you

Warrior:
- "Shield Slam" requires magic effect on target, otherwise it does not work
- Too less/high rage gain
- Charge through ground/door especially in caves or above caves
- "Improved Shield Block" gives one more time increased block chance, but both 2 stacks are eaten with one hit
- "Bloodrage" does not keep you infight while the buff is active
- If two warriors use "Sunder Armor" on one target, you remove the stacks from each other

BRD:
- The mobbs in the second last room keep on respawning even after you opened the door
- You can pull the emperor without adding the whole room sometimes
- All doors close again when you wipe

DM West:
- "Illyana Ravenoak" spawns 2 times
- The elves on the floor of Illyana are friendly
- "Tendris Warpwood" does not add all still living trees
- You don't need to kill the barrier around Immol'thar is not there
- You can't attack "Prince Tortheldrin"
- Patrols in Immol'thar's room don't walk
- No random spawnpoint of the book with class trinkets, it's always on the top floor in the library

DM North:
- "Guard Slip'kik" does not patrol and ice trap does not work
- Tribute chest respawns after some time
- Amount of loot in the tribute chest does not depend on how much Guards you have killed yet

DM East:
- "Pusillin" does not move
- The patrols on the street down the ramp does not walk

Onyxia:
- "Deep breath" does not depend on how much dots are on her (MOOOAAARRR DOTS!!!!!!!)
- When you get kicked you slide along the wall till you land in the room with the eggs
- "Onyxia" walks too close to the tank so she is behind you and turns around

Upper Blackrock Spire:
- Only one has to click to summon the "Pyroguard Emberseer"
- The event with "Solakar Flamerweath" does not work
- The event with "Rend Blackhand" does not work correctly (like you can't see him and Nefarian before and the waves bugg through the gate...)
- "Awbee" can get attack with AoE spells, attacks you than but you can't strike back except with AoE spells

Lower Blackrock Spire:
- Don't remember anything :p

Stratholme Undead:
- The event before "Baron Rivendare" does not work
- The little poison adds spawned by the monstrosities do not despawn after the group wiped
- "Baron Rivendare" does not always drop a D1 item

Stratholme Living:
- Don't remember anything

Scholomance:
- Once the "Darkmaster Gandling" ported you into one of the rooms the mobs there hit too hard and the door doesn't open after you killed the mobbs
- You can attack "Marduk Blackpool" and "Vectus" without clearing the room before
- "Kirtonos the Herald" can't be spawned

Molten Core:
- The imps before Luzifron do their AoE flame spell all at the same time so everybody is instant dead
- Some bosses like "Luzifron" or "Gehennas" hit waaaaay too hard or have too less hitpoints
- Not linked golem trash mobbs
- Wrong loottable (like no T loot on a boss)
- "Luzifron" does even give you the debuff and curse when he is not in your line of sight
- "Luzifron"'s mindcontrol ability does not work (it just turns him friendly to you and your raid to enemy, but you still have the control of your character)
- "Luzifron" has a too short cooldown on curse and debuff
- The hounds in the packs before "Magmadar" don't respawn even when you don't kill the all at the same time
- "Gehennas"'s adds stun the tank immediately after the pull so they can't do aggro and all healers get killed
- The skill of "Ragnaros" where the durability of meelee weapons hitting him should get less one point every hit does not work
- The skill of "Ragnaros" with the AoE knockback on ranged players does not work


So that's some stuff what easily comes to my mind depending on your point of progress, you can see what classes I played more often :D If I forgot some important stuff I will add them later. Would be awesome if someone of the test players could check some points of the list :smile:

You can get soul shards while you are in a raid-I think its not a bug :shifty:
 
Well i played lock for a long time:
- in a raid when multiple locks soul drain only one would get a soul shard, don't know if this is as intended.
- eye of kilrogg doesn't work
- i had to aoe to make the summon work
- you used low lvl alts to get extra soulstones for cthun, not sure if lowlvl are supposed to be able to SS highlvls
- pet resistances broken

Other:
- darkmoon faire not spawning in mulgore and elwynn in a periodic way
- able to enter instances while people were in combat (corpserunning)
- not having to kill all the ziggurats in stratholme to open the gate
- onyxia's deep breath killing you when you were hugging the wall
 
If you are grouped up a person that has the lantern from Felwood, the mineral/herb spots you gather gets bugged until a server restart. As if you have the lantern yourself, and leaving the quest items unlooted.

Fire adds that spawn from MC trash become unkillable if AoE'd/Stunned. Have seen this happen several times resulting in a wipe.

The chest behind Prince in DM-W being spawned even if you didnt kill him.

Ironbark the Redeemed needs a person to walk alongside him to open the door.(cant remember exactly how it used to be back in retail, but it was problematic in some servers)

Some killing orders of minibosses lead to Darkmaster Gandling not spawning.

You cant summon Kormok if you killed Gandling.

Ghosts in Scholo evading through the floors only to reappear when a combat occurs near their spawn points again.

Some Ghouls and Banshees in Stratholme are not linked with their packs.

The patrol in UBRS aggro through the floor, this used to happen in the first room of UBRS.

Lord Valthalak's spirit can be summoned only if he hasnt been looted yet.

Pets can be used to pull Wyrmthalak to UBRS near Beast's lair. Right in the left-forward corner of the main room.

Mor Grayhoof staying in humanoid form despite being shapeshifted(visual).

Mother Smolderweb's "Milk" doesnt work on Mangos.

Lord Incendius can be aggroed from the edge near Grim Guzzler.

The room before Magmus should stop rapid-respawning non-elites once you lit the braziers and open the door. Proof. You can also see that he can be pulled through the door with a pet, but its up to you whether or not to fix it since it ruins the encounter, but still blizzlike. Maybe make him unable to leave the zone? Since no group that tries to kill him legit would pull him away from his spawn point anyway.

The dog packs should be patrolling. With an elite in lead for some packs. Proof



There are a shitload more bugs i encountered in other servers, but seen that most of them were fixed in Official videos and Stronghand's :p so not including them here. Also the event problems are already mentioned so i'm leaving them out.
 
i recommend makign an application as a tester, Jahreno and Nilzzz. its a lot what you post and not sure if any current tester already checked them all. if you do so, good luck. i myself have stuff i wanna test so its a lot of time consuming.

would be cool having all those eye-catching bugs gone forever.
 
I won't recheck them again, but everything Jorim and Nilzz asked for was already working.
Only thing I am not sure of is

you used low lvl alts to get extra soulstones for cthun, not sure if lowlvl are supposed to be able to SS highlvls

Its not a bug though afaik.
