Graphics

It's under the same roof as making the stealth skin neon pink or something

Well this kind of thinking is mostly why it's been put under the same blanket, people can't discern advantages properly.

Your example is a great demonstration of such - stealth makes you transparent and invisible to the game world. Even if you were bright shining and pink, nobody would see you anyway, because you're not visible. And when the player manages to spot you, he will get the same reaction time as if you were not pink. Nothing will change. Since the best way to select a rogue is tab-targeting, pink would have no effect.

See world of roguecraft video for explanation of the reaction times.

That ENB-thing looks really awesome, has anyone gotten it to work? Don't think it did for me, I couldn't spot a difference in-game, and the activate button didn't appear to work as well.

EDIT: Found out the primary reason why it's not working; I'm playing from a Mac. Still interested to hear if anyone has gotten it to work, though!

I made it work and tried it a bit. The game looks a bit more darker and it has some sort of bloom effect. Also has some sort of HDR (High dinamic Range Lightining) on sunny areas. Not that cool in dark areas. It is just a small tweak , has no major impact on graphics , but this is just my personal feeling.
And to quote someone " playing a game for its graphic it's just like watching porn for the story" i know WoW is no CryEngine , i don't play it for visuals. I wish it looked better but there are some restrictions and you need a lot of smart people to improve it.

Dark nights are awesome! But, can some1 enlighten me. What is a % probability of discovering me, using this mod on Twinstars? And what kind of punishment awaits me=) :shifty:

Btw some1 asked here about distance of the characters may appear. As far as i know this parameter can't be changed through the game client,it is some kind of server setting, and can be changed only by Greats.

P.S. Quod licet Jovi, non licet bovi.

% probability of discovery cannot be predicted, as it is directly tied to your IQ and IQ of people viewing your game screen.
Punishments can range from nothing to permaban.

I hope they increase the view of the players on a map and mobs... One thing i always hate about retail is that it has low view point of players...

Pretty snazzy, fantastic to know! You're smarter than I thought WoW.

You would only appear pink to a player with the same edit. Not for anyone else.

Its possible to change the game files so you have no mountains anymore, no doors or w/e.
The problem does not lie in players recognizing a change as an advantage, but the server doing so.
Since its mere impossible you only have 1 option left. Ban all client changes.

You should just say that this mod can't be detected by server. But thanks you anyway Psojed.
Let the light be with you!:cool2:

Its useful information. What good is model editing if you get banned for it.

Well, IMHO it is possible to patch the client somehow, however I don't know if the client engine will be able to render these models properly.

In addition such modification is against EULA and can damage your client permanently.

I don't recommend it :)

Once I tried to import felorcs textures to vanilla client and it worked fine. I also tried to import blood elves models but this didn't work, the client crashes when you login...

It works, but the models must be downgraded properly to vanilla versions. In most cases, you would have to edit the models, convert them and downgrade before you can use them, but sure it can be done. I'd say this is not the best place to discuss it if you are truly interested in retro-porting, but if someone did the proper ports (not those half-assed buggy ones), be my guest.

Here's an old screenshot of mine when I only swapped elf female with human male.
