I don't agree with you Eltar, you are exaggerating. There is no way that this server will be ready in 8 days. As far as I could see testing here on Kronos was a bit chaotic and unorganised. Nostalrius did one good thing because they had closed testing sessions which were time limited so players were forced to be there for testing (badly, some testing sessions were short but their original plan was good and they rushed with their server's release but that's another topic).
I have one suggestion that would take some time but the
blizzlike resultes would be there for certian. It's simple zone by zone testing where we would have for each zone testing session limited by time.
That would be good because it would give us slow but in-depth research what is bugged and what should be fixed (broken quests, quests that work but should be polished, add missing quests, regular quests, class quests, escort quests, elite and group quests, mobs (+ rare (elite) mobs (there are more then 300 rare mobs in wow I think) & their intersting scripts that we all love, like Swiftmane running through Barrens with high running speed, Sludge Beast dropping two green items, Leprithus appearing only at night, Takk the Leaper with supersonic chasing speed, Humar the Pridelord spawning those savannah matriarchs and cubs when you slain Humar the Pridelord etc...) and all their immunites, ressistances, reputation, aggro range, hp & mana, spells and abilites and when do they cast them and how do they cast them, when they are low on health to run for aid, armor, equipment, min & max damage, attack power, attack speed, loot table, drop rates, their buffes and debuffes, their interruption spells, their positioning, their patrol route if they are moving, their gossips etc...) Plus we would check all racial & class spells and talents, game mechanics (pathfinding really needs polishing, one of rare good sides of Nostalrius and I am not ambassador of any private server, I am just tellin' that those buggs which your competitor fixed, should be fixed here too), instances that are in those zones that are being tested, quests for that instances etc, events (Elemental Invasion, Gurubashi Arena) chests, food crates and water barrels (thier loot and respawn time, their respawn locations) etc... and add as many details as you can because we all know that details are those little things that were making us happy when were playing during old retail days
For example you make 1st session just for starting zones 1-10 level:
Elwynn Forest, Dun Morogh, Teldrassil, Durotar, Mulgore, Trisfal Glades
After everything is tested and players report bugs and you fix them, then you release next 2nd session for zones that are in range 10-20/25/27 level:
Darkshore, Loch Modan, Silverpine Forest, Westfall, Barrens, Redrige Mountains, Stonetalon Mountains
Again after everything is tested and players report bugs and you fix them, then you release next 3th session for zones that are in range 18-35 level:
Ashenvale, Duskwood, Hillsbrad Foothills, Wetlands, Thousand Needles
And you repeat this process until you check and fix all other zones.
This advice would mean that release date should be delayed. Deal with it just as CoreCraft did. And no, it is not true that they will release it in next 10 years or that they will lose their hype or their playerbase, because we all know that many of us here, and not just from Kronos but from all other private wow servers too, are patiently waiting for some server that will appear and that will blow away all these half-fixed projects that have been released until this day to the junkyard of wow private server's history.
